Is NityaPooja free? +
Yes, completely free. The app is supported by small, non-intrusive banner ads. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no account required.
Does it work offline? +
Yes. Mantras, stotrams, Panchangam calculations, Japa counter, and most features work fully offline. Audio playback requires an initial download but is cached for offline use.
Why are my notifications not working? +
On Android, go to Settings → Apps → NityaPooja → Battery → set to "Unrestricted". Also ensure notification permission is granted. The app will prompt you for both on first launch. On Samsung devices especially, battery optimization must be disabled for reliable notifications.
How do I set up Sankalpam? +
Go to Profile and enter your name, gotra, nakshatra, city, and preferred deity. Then open any Puja screen — the Sankalpam card will appear with a "Listen" button to hear it read aloud in Telugu.
The Sankalpam audio is downloading every time. Is that normal? +
No — after the first download it should be cached. If it keeps downloading, it may be due to the Sankalpam text changing (karana and yoga change intraday). The cache is keyed to today's date + your profile, so it downloads once per day at most.
How do I clear my data? +
Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Clear My Data. This removes all bookmarks, reading history, japa sessions, and preferences from your device.
Is NityaPooja available on iOS? +
Yes! NityaPooja is available on both Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). Download free on either platform — your content and preferences are stored locally on your device.
The Panchangam timings look wrong for my location. +
Go to Profile and verify your city is set correctly. Rahu Kalam and sunrise/sunset times are calculated based on your selected city's coordinates. If your city is not listed, select the nearest major city.
